Immersion Parents as Learning Supporters

The website was conceived through discussions about how we as educators could help our parents support their French Immersion students at home. Over the years we have frequently been asked by non French speaking parents, how they could help and what they could do to support their children. The discussion led to the formation of a PLC (Professional Learning Community) group in the 2015/16 school year. The group included: Joanie Chestnut (French Education Assistant), Kim Marks (French Learning Support Teacher), Deneen Opala (French Education Assistant), Nicholas Williams, (French Immersion Teacher) and Kari Mathew (French Immersion Teacher).
